Last night was most entertaining.  Went to hang out with some old friends I hadn't seen in a good long while.

Tonight, its the Hornets.  I'll post more later.

snack attack.

I haven't posted in almost three months it appears. Didn't really mean for that to happen, just kind of forgot.

Things at The Oklahoma State School of Witchcraft and Wizardry are fine. I'm taking 13 hours, it's fun. VR takes up almost all of my time. Luckily I have the radio show with Beau, so I get to miss it today.

Things I'm listening to:
Art Brut (hilarious)
The Subways (fun)
The Flaming Lips (duh)
We Are Scientists (nuts)

Things i've been doing in the past two months:
Taking care of my fish (Trip Fontaine).
School
Super Smash Brothers Melee
Drinking (GASP!)

Beau left for a second, and I think i'm going to hide to try and scare him.

kellen!

Ahhh, another semester at Oklahoma State School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is in the books.  This was one of the funnest semesters by far, but also the busiest.  I'm not complaining, however.  I'm going to do a Best Of list now..

Beat Memory- Freshman Follies.

Best Story- Freshman Follies.

Album most listened to- Air : Talkie Walkie (I know... Two years in a row...  I'm a dumb.

I'd like to also do a Top 5 Albums of 2005 list!  Now these aren't necessarily albums that came out this year.  These are albums that i've listened to a lot this year and have influenced me.  Subject to change, they are..:

5. Air- Moon Safari
Probably the best album i've never given a chance until this summer.  I'd started to put it on before I went to sleep at OLOG and I found that, for about two months, I was listening to it every single night.  It just stuck.

4.Black Rebel Motorcycle Club- (Self Titled)
Again, this one was kind of a loomer.  Father picked it up for me on a hunch that it was pretty good and i've consistently listened to it about every day since i've had it.  The bass is just nasty and the guitars are absolutely intoxicating.  Buy this.

3.The Willowz- TALKinCIRCLES
If you haven't heard my Willowz story yet, ask me about it.

2.Be Your Own Pet (CD-SINGLE)
Just plain awesome: Four kids not even out of HIGH SCHOOL make a lo-fi Blondie-meets-Television punk record and make it big... In Europe... D'oh!  However, we all know that girl lead singers are the shit.

1.      Babyshambles- Down in Albion
A lot of people may be surprised by this, but please don't forget who's writing this.  Babyshambles are brilliant, I just hope they don't break up anytime soon.

BLAH!

The Chain Gang of Love

That last post was a little... enigmatic.  Don't worry, nothing's wrong.  I just rushed a xanga post, that's all.  I don't really get around to posting a lot anymore, but luckily i'm home for the remainder of the weekend, kicking it off right with a little Thanksgiving goodness, then Hot Hot Heat and The Redwalls tomorrow.  But right now, my mind's all about fuzz/noise rock.

I don't know why, but on my way home I listened to The Raveonettes entire catalog and I realized how much i'd overlooked them.  I know they only write in Bb Minor with three surrounding chords, but the souds they produce are great.  That's what makes me appreciate the new album a little more, even though I believe it's older siblings are far superior.  They tried to expand their sound by taking away the feedback and bringing in really rich reverb and came up with a pretty fun piece of work.

But nothing beats the ear-drum piercing sounds I love.

So, yes.  To recap: Hot Hot Heat and The Redwalls, Camp Awesome Team Retreat Part III, then sitting around.

whip it on

I had to wait for life to slow down a pinch before I posted again.

I'm dog-sitting for Wayne Coyne this weekend, as well as seeing Hot Hot Heat.  The Redwalls are on trial.

Time to go be a wannabe brit-rock snob again.

I saw a shark this weekend.
